5 Incredible Mamas Helping Us Celebrate International Women's Day.

Posted by Nikki Clarke on

Our gorgeous models are all wearing the 'Classic Maternity Leggings - Full Length' in black. All are also wearing either a confetti/white 'Luxe Bra,' 'Ultimate Bra' or 'Smoothie Crop Bra.'

This International Women's Day we want to celebrate some of our mamas who have truly inspirational stories.

Obviously, Cadenshae is very women focused. We put all our efforts into making products that provide mums and mums-to-be more comfort, more freedom, and more power over their style. Hearing from customers who love their new purchases is one of the best parts of the job, but we've recently found out that getting to know our customers individually, is even better.

We asked our customers/mothers to share their inspirational stories - whether it be massive achievements or smaller, every day successes. We heard from so many mothers and read so many beautiful stories. We're really delighted to share some of them with you below.

Ashley.

Helping mums stay active during nursing is what we live for, and no one does it quite like Ashley. Ashley's mega fit, because she's a full-time firefighter who often has to jump into dangerous situations to keep the people of Oregon safe. Most importantly though, she's a first-time mama to nine-month-old baby, Indy.

Ashley actively swam throughout her pregnancy and even did the swim portion of a team triathlon five weeks postpartum! Well done to Ashley, and hats off to all the women out there who juggle work, babies, fitness and more - we think you’re tops.

Tamsin.

Our next mama dedicates her time to making women happier and more successful.

Introducing Tamsin.

To us, there’s nothing more important than inspiring mums to live the best life they can. Tamsin does just that by helping women break down barriers to success and live their best lives through her inspirational blog. By celebrating successful women, the blog has helped her, and many other new mums find their purpose and navigate their way through motherhood.

Hannah.

This mama's runners do not get a day off.

Introducing Hannah.

Hannah has just recently completed the 102km Tarawera Ultra Marathon just nine months after giving birth to her baby boy. She wore her Cadenshae Fit2Feed Nursing Bra and was able to breastfeed her son as soon as she got to the finish line! Amazing work from Hannah, and big thumbs up to mothers out there doing even a fraction of this! The effort matters just as much as the distance.

Megan.

The next mum we have to tell you about survived a traumatic birth and came out stronger.

Introducing Megan.

Megan's an amazing example of a mother who refuses to give up or be deterred by difficult situations. During birth she lost two litres of blood and was taken to theatre to stop the bleeding. Megan was then told she may never be able to breastfeed, but she persisted in trying and eventually was able to breastfeed a week later. Good on you Megan - and to women everywhere who’ve had to fight through tough labours to meet their bubs...you rock.

Kate.

Our next mum beat the odds after surviving the fight of her life.

Introducing Kate.

Diagnosed with breast cancer at the young age of 28, this front line police officer and fitness lover was just two months away from her wedding. Kate acted quickly and underwent a mastectomy six weeks before the big day. During her treatment Kate was told her ovaries would be seriously damaged and that having children would no longer be an option.

Incredibly, three years after she was diagnosed, Kate fell pregnant naturally and gave birth to her daughter, Lokki, in September 2012. Then, in November 2014, she gave birth to her son, Atli. Fast forward a few years and Kate enjoys exercising daily and spending as much time with her kids as possible. She’s also looking forward to using her degree in Sport Sciences to motivate and encourage others to exercise, stay healthy and above all know their body and be able to question if something is not right.

"Because life is worth the fight!" says Megan.

We couldn’t agree more!

We're so inspired by these stories, and many others. We know being a mum isn't easy, but that's exactly what International Women's Day is about - coming together through all our imperfections and all our successes, all our joy and all our heartache.

Always remember that whatever life is throwing at you...you've totally got this!
